At the beginning of this New Year and on this World Day of Prayer for Peace, I want to reflect a little on the connection between working for peace and justice and the Carmelite vocation. We form contemplative communities in the midst of the people and in this way we bear witness to God but who is this God who has called us and whom we seek to serve?
